Planning pathways

NESO publishes one common short-term pathway through 2035. It then branches into Holistic Transition, Electric Engagement and Hydrogen Evolution through 2050. Each annual value applies at 31 March.

These are planning pathways—not forecasts, available network capacity, connection offers or a power-flow model.

Official geography

The map uses NESO’s official tRESP GSP feeding-area and RESP-region GeoPackages. GSP areas can contain gaps or overlaps and can change with network configuration.

The GSP-to-RESP filter association is GridCurrent-derived using greatest sampled area overlap in British National Grid coordinates; it is not an official NESO mapping.
